I currently live in South Portland, but way back in '91, I spent from the middle of November to the middle of Feburary just wandering coastal Maine. It was my intention to return here asap, but alas, I was unable to until September of this year.
I was living in Oregon, and had recently found myslef obligated to nothing, adn no one, so I scrapped up a couple of pay checks, made a few phone calls, internet research, bought a plaine ticket, and suddenly here I am... so, if I can does it any fool can.

So take heart brother, and don't get lost in the moment, as nothing lasts forever, you'll be home someday.

I just spoke to my father's widow who still lives in my childhood home in Castine.
she wants to know when I'll be visiting and I told her June...
I've been thinking about Maine all week even though I'm in California...

If any one wants good shots of the windjammers I've got a bunch of good ones as they sailed by the house into Castine Harbor on July 4th.

Hi all,
I was very happy to have found this tribe. I do not currently live in Maine, though I have my house in Lee, an hour up from Bangor on silver lake. I have the grave misfortune of living in Texas currently. It seems so easy to get lost at times, and I hope to move back to my house when I can find good employment. My heart definitly is still there, so hopefully that is close enough to be part of this tribe until I can make it HOME.
Blessed be to all from someone who is way to lost and way to far away
