Sun, August 19, 2007 - 6:32 PMTrue Mainers are pretty tolerant of others. You don't bother them ...they don't bother you. Portland's annual Pagan Pride Festival took place yesterday. I attended and I'm not Pagan. As always, I had a great time, though.

Re: Thinking about Maine
Wed, September 12, 2007 - 8:38 PMPart of it depends on how you would define close; many things in Maine are close if you are within an hour or so :) It also depends on the size of the college and how close you want to be. Belfast is a wonderful place, on the ocean. It is near Unity (very small town with a small college) and about an hour and a half from Waterville. Also, anything near Portland would work nicely in Southern Maine. And even though you don't want a huge city, Portland may surprise you as it has a small city feel and some wonderfully unique things and areas. Good luck with your search and blessed be! -

Sun, December 9, 2007 - 1:37 PMI was born and raised in Bar Harbor. MDI is connected to the rest of the state by a small bridge, if you didn't see the water on either side though you would never know it. I am living in South Portland now, now jobs in Bar Harbor in the winter.
